H4 treated pine sleepers are resistant to rot and attack by termites and borers, making them suitable for in-ground or ground-contact use, including retaining walls and fence posts. Please note that these sleepers should not be used for garden beds or edging, public projects, childrens playgrounds, garden furniture, picnic tables, external seating, domestic decking or handrails.

Q: What does an H3, H4 and H5 rating mean? A: The H rating for treated pine is an indication of the use to which the timber can be put and its resistance to rot and attack by termites or borers. ACQ means that the pine has been treated in an eco friendly way without the use of arsenic.
